the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals discussed Napster again and ended up with the following.
  • - Napster knew its users were violating copyright laws
  • - Napster can continue operating until a lower court redrafts its injunction.
  • - Napster must lock out those users who exchange copyrighted songs without permission as they are infringing on the copyright holders' rights to control the reproduction and distribution of their music. Hearing this, Metallica made an official statement and posteded on metallica.com It said:
"From day one our fight has always been to protect the rights of artists who chose not to have their music exploited without consent. The court's decision validates this right and confirms that Napster was wrong in taking not only Metallica's music but other artists who do not want to be a part of the Napster system and exploiting it without their approval.
We are delighted that the Court has upheld the rights of all artists to protect and control their creative efforts. The 9th Circuit Court has confirmed that musicians, songwriters, filmmakers, authors, visual artists and other members of the creative community are entitled to the same copyright protections online that they traditionally been afforded offline.
We have never objected to the technology, the internet or the digital distribution of music. All we have ever asked is that artists be able to control how, when and in what form their creativity is distributed through these channels. This is something that Napster has continually refused to do. Now the court has made that decision for them."

The journalist had talked to the guys one by one, and the result was not as planed. In the article Metallicas statements were put together which made it look like they were four childish guys fighting every day. Playboy Magazine also sent out a press release about the interview to promote the rag, so the news that Metallica was about to break up was spread like wildfire. Some quotes from the interview: James Hetfield's "vocal range is limited" but improving, according to Newsted. Lars Ulrich said Hetfield is homophobic, and continued: "I think homophobia is questioning your sexuality and not being comfortable with it." James Hetfield recalled that Danish-born Ulrich rarely bathed during the band's formative days in the early 1980s, and was not a good drummer. "To this day he is not Drummer of the Year. We all know that" he said.

Metallica and Napster announced the settlement of their legal dispute. The settlement enabled the parties to work together to make Napster a positive vehicle for artists and music enthusiasts alike. The band and the software company released a press release where Lars Ulrich said: "I think we've resolved this in a way that works for fans, recording artists and songwriters alike, Our beef hasn't been with the concept of sharing music; everyone knows that we've never objected to our fans trading tapes of our live concert performances. The problem we had with Napster was that they never asked us or other artists if we wanted to participate in their business. We believe that this settlement will create the kind of enhanced protection for artists that we've been seeking from Napster. We await Napster's implementation of a new model which will allow artists to choose how their creative efforts are distributed. It's good that they're going legit."

In what marks the first significant blow in the brewing battle between artists and the emerging online music distribution aid Napster, Metallica has filed suit against the tech company. The metal giants filed suit in U.S. District Court naming Napster, and several schools. The suit charges Napster and the schools in question with copyright infringement, unlawful use of digital audio interface device, and violations of the Racketeering Influenced & Corrupt Organizations Act Napster is still in its relative infancy, but the technology has managed to nestle itself at the center of a media storm (and to raised the ire of the music) during its brief life span. Napster boasts that its technology gives users one simple interface through which to search for and download MP3s of their favorite songs. Metallica and co-plaintiffs E/M Ventures and Creeping Death Music claim that the company "encourages and enables visitors to its website to unlawfully exchange with others copyrighted songs and sound recordings without the knowledge or permission of Metallica."

The band did an online chat with the fans to explain why they started the Napster case. Proir to the chat Metallica made an official statement saying (edited) "Metallica is suing Napster because we felt that someone had to address this important artistic issue, and we have always been known for taking a leadership role in the fight for artists rights. We were the first band to sue our record company, Time Warner, for the right to control our future. Rather than allowing the record company or any other corporation to own our recordings and compositions, we chose to fight for (and eventually win) control of our music. This issue is no different. Why is it all of a sudden okay to get music for free? Why should music be free, when it costs artists money to record and produce it?"

STATEMENT FROM THE MEMBERS OF METALLICA
Metallica regrets to announce that after 14 years as Metallica's bass player, Jason Newsted has chosen to leave the band.

Jason Newsted: "Due to private and personal reasons, and the physical damage that I have done to myself over the years while playing the music that I love, I must step away from the band. This is the most difficult decision of my life, made in the best interest of my family, myself, and the continued growth of Metallica. I extend my love, thanks, and best wishes to my brothers: James, Lars, and Kirk and the rest of the Metallica family, friends, and fans whom have made these years so unforgettable."

Newsted joined Metallica from Flotsam And Jetsam in the fall of 1986 after the tragic death of bassist Cliff Burton. He participated in the recording of 6 Metallica albums (...And Justice For All, Metallica, Load, Re-Load, Garage Inc., and S&M), which have sold over 55 million copies worldwide to date. While with Metallica, the band won countless awards including 5 Grammy Awards and 2 MTV Video Music Awards.

Lars Ulrich: "We part ways with Jason with more love, more mutual respect, and more understanding of each other than at any other point in the past. James, Kirk and I look forward to embracing the next chapter of Metallica with both a huge amount of appreciation for the last 14 years with Jason and the excitement of rising to the challenges that lay ahead to make Metallica shine brighter than ever."

Jason's first gig with Metallica, opening for Metal Church at The Country Club in Reseda. His second gig was the very next night at Jezabelle's in Anaheim.

    10.08.87

The EP Garage Days Re-Revisited was released only including cover tunes to introduce Jason on vinyl to the fans. One of the tracks was left off the British version so it could qualify for the singles chart. This masterpiece is no longer available, and is now a rare collector's item.

    20.08.87

The band started their European festival tour with a small secret gig at Club 100 in London. Thousands of people showed up, even though the gig wasn't advertised; however, many were denied at the door, as the club only had capacity for a few hundred!

    04.12.87

Metallica's first home video, Cliff 'Em All, is released. This is Metallica's homage to their previous bass player. They didn't have any footage from the old shows, so bootleg videos taped by fans were added to the home video.

    22.02.89

This year Metallica received a nomination in the heavy metal category for the Grammy Awards. They performed One live at the show, but the award went to Jethro Tull. Metallica didn't seem to care, though; they added a sticker to their album reading "Grammy Award LOOSERS".

    20.06.89

The home video "Two Of One" is released.

    05.11.92

All four members of Diamond Head were on the guest list this day in Birmingham, England. This started Metallica thinking of the possibility of jamming with them. With two drum sets on the stage, all eight band members played Am I Evil? and Helpless together. The members of Diamond Head are close friends of Lars, for he traveled with them on tour before Metallica was formed. Both of these tracks, and the jam with Animal ten days earlier, are available on the "Metallican vid" that comes in the Metallican-box for ...And Justice For All.

The guys liked the idea and opened the store to a flood of fans on this day, selling only Metallica albums and merchandise. A tape was released for this day, and was exclusively sold at this shop on the Grand Opening. The tape consists of a medley recorded in Moscow. It was James who designed the tape cover with a drawing of Scary Guy.

According to Metallica this was the best gig they had ever played. This was also the first date on their short tour "Escape From The Studio" 95.

    03.09.95

The Arctic Circle show, sponsored by Molson Breweries in Canada. 500 or so contest winners were invited to the "Coldest Show On Earth," in arctic northern Canada, a place so desolate and frigid that the only way in or out was by charter flights. The show was played in a huge, clover-shaped tent. Using four massive, fuel-burning, heating units they managed to keep the temperature warm enough for the instruments to function!

    13.11.95

Metallica performed 7 Motorhead songs (dubbing their performance the "Lemmys") during Lemmy's birthday party at the famous club "Whiskey A Go-Go". This is also the club where Lars and James met Cliff Burton.

    MAY.96

Our four guys spent time travelling around the world to promote the new album. They conducted numerous interviews, and organized huge listening parties where they would set up a truck full of speakers and play the new album, then sign some autographs for the fans. This occurred all over the world; in the States, Europe, Australia and Japan.

    20.05.96

The single Until It Sleeps is released world-wide, excluding Northern America, where the fans would have to wait one more day.

    26.05.96.

A huge Metallica listening party was held on the second day of the DYNAMO Festival in Eindhoven, Holland. Metallica's new album, Load, was played through the PA at the festival site for the 60,000+ audience, making this the largest listening party held, ever!! Two band members (probably Lars & Kirk) were at the festival site to present this event, to give interviews, and to promote the new album. Load was released a whole week earlier in Holland than the rest of the world, to make it possible to be sold at the festival. Therefore, Eindhoven was blessed not only with hosting the world premiere, but also with the release of the album for the first time anywhere in the world!

    01.06.96

Load is released in Japan only.

    03.06.96.

    17.06.96

MTV presented a Metallica contest that was so huge it took four tractor trailers to deliver the prizes to the homes of the four contest winners. The four band members of Metallica hung out with the grand prize winner, met the neighbors, and played some tunes. The contest final was aired July 1.

    27.06.96

Another European tour begins. This time the tour starts in Ostenhalle, Germany.

    23.09.96

Recorded the live video of Hero Of The Day in Barcelona, Spain. They weren't using a recording, and 5 seconds before each of the 3 times they played the song, a metronom was introducing the band to the required rythym, and the beeps of it sounded throughout the whole audio system at the stadium. Also, Kirk got 3 or 4 notes wrong on the intro during the first attempt. Moreover, Lars asked the crowd to be more energetic in each one of the new versions they played. So, by the third try, it sounded louder than hell!

    13.11.96

Metallica recorded 3 live songs for the TV program "Later With Jools Holland," on the British channel BBC2. Wasting My Hate, Mama Said (James only acoustic) and King Nothing were performed completely live, with no playback.. It was broadcast on November 16th.

    14.11.96

Metallica was intoduced to perform King Nothing live on stage at the MTV Europe Video Awards show. The lights went down and the band launched into the song Last Caress followed by So What? A few classic minutes of television to savour. The band was nominated earlier that evening, in the "Best Rock Video" catagory, but the award went to the Smashing Pumpkins. James later said in an interview: We needed to wake people up at the show! We felt it was a little boring, and we had been daring each other to do that for years.

    18.11.96

The single Mama Said is released world wide.

    18 & 19.11.96

Apocalyptica, the band who released an album containing Metallica covers performed with cellos, opened for Metallica in Helsinki, Finland.

    Metallica story

HISTORY PT 1 I guess this isn't the first Metallica story you have read, but I do hope it is the best! I've tried to include all the stories and all the facts in a day-by-day diary, but I know the history is far from complete, so if you find anything missing, please mail me.
COPYRIGHT: Many of you have asked if you can have this band-history on your web-page. This biography is a part of the first book I wrote, and the copyright belongs to C.G. Publishing in Canada. Please don't copy anything here, but feel free to print out for personal use.
    1980
A young Lars Ulrich was addicted to the NWOBHM (New Wave Of British Heavy Metal), and he tried to put his own band together. At this point, his attempt failed, but he placed an ad in a magazine called Recycler, to which one James Hetfield answered. James and Lars met up to jam, but nothing became of this first meeting.
    Summer 81
Lars went to the UK to follow Diamond Head around for 3 months on tour. On his return he secured a deal to record a track for the Metal Blade compilation Metal Massacre. Due to the fact that he didn't yet have a band, he quickly began contacting people. The three members he managed to put together were:
      • Lars Ulrich (Drums)
      • James Hetfield (Vocals; Rhythm and Bass Guitars)
      • Lloyd grant (Lead guitar)
    14.03.82.
Metallica's first show ever! At Radio City, in Anaheim, CA.
    XX.04.82.
In order to get a certain live gig, Metallica needed to present some of their material, so they recorded a demo, later known as Power Metal . This was recorded with James, Lars, Ron McGovney, and Dave Mustaine. There isn't an actual title for this demo, but when it surfaced as a bootleg, the name stuck. The name comes from some early business cards of the band that Ron printed up.
    xx.04.82
They re-recorded four tracks: Hit The Lights, Mechanix, Jump In The Fire, and Motorbreath. This new version of Hit The Lights appeared on the second pressing of Metal Massacre 1 (also the recent re-release).
    25.05.82
Metallica played a gig at Lars high school, Backbay High School, managing to almost empty the hall.
    28.05.82
They played as a five piece band for the first time with Jef Warner on vocals (luckily he didn't last).
    14.06.82
The first print of the Metal Massacre compilation album was released, and included Metallica's first take of Hit The Lights. The second print had another version of this track. The album was released by Brian Slagel; this was the first release on his new label, Metal Blade.
    06.07.82.
The demo No Life 'Til Leather was recorded. This demo was never officially released, but copies were made and spread like wildfire. Tracks included were:
    • Hit The Lights
    • Mechanix
    • Motorbreath
    • Seek And Destroy
    • Metal Militia
    • Jump In The Fire
    • Phantom Lord
    Line-up was as follows:
    • Vocals/guitar: James Hetfield
    • Drums: Lars Ulrich
    • Bass: Ron Mcgovney
    • Lead guitar: Dave Mustaine
    xx.08.82
Brian Slagel told the band about a great bass player (Cliff Burton) in a band called Trauma that played the Whiskey a Go-Go. James and Lars were not happy with Ron McGovney, and where so amazed by Cliff's playing, that they realized that this was the new bass player for Metallica. Cliff was not interested, but said that he would join the band if they moved to San Francisco, for he thought L.A. was a fucked-up freak show.
    18.09.82
To promote the Metal Massacre album, Brian Slagel organized a gig with the bands the San Francisco. This was the first time Metallica played in front of the Bay Area crowd, and it was a crucial job for them. All of the kids joined the headbangers on stage and went nuts. Metallica had to follow up this show with numerous gigs in the Bay Area.
    29.11.82.
The guys played at "The Old Waldorf" in San Francisco, with support from a band named Exodus, with one Kirk Hammett on guitar; this was the first time they met him. The show was recorded, and today is known as the Live Metal Up Your Ass demo. They intended to record it through the mixing board, but something went wrong, so instead they set up a boombox in front of the speaker stacks; technically, this recording is an audience recording. Both Metal Up Your Ass and No Life 'Til Leather came with a cassette liner that was written by Lars and contained the track listings and the band logo. This was Dave Mustaine's first show with the band.
    30.11.82
Mabuhay Gardens. The last gig with Ron on bass. They soon afterwards asked Cliff Burton to join; upon hearing this, Ron left.
    28.12.82
First jam session with Cliff Burton.
    xx.01.83
The band is invited by record shop owner Jon Zazula to do some gigs on the East Coast. He also tries to get them a record contract, but when this fails, he founds his own record label, Megaforce Records, and signs Metallica as his first band.
    March 83
March of '83 saw them on a journey from SF to New York to play a number of dates organized by Jonny Z of Megaforce Records. During this trip Daves drinking problems were getting a bit out of hand. The morning after they played a show in Vandenburg, supporting VENOM, they asked Dave to leave. Meanwhile, Kirk was already on his way over by plane to replace him.
    05.03.83
Cliff Burton's first gig with the band, in San Francisco, at The Stone.
    16.03.83
The "Megaforce demo" was recorded. This is Cliff Burton's first recording with the band. There are two different stories about this recording, and I'm not sure which version is correct, if either... Story one: the band used this recording (containing Whiplash and No Remorse) to get a contract with Megaforce Records. Story two: the band wanted to capture a recording with Cliff, so they did, and then took the tape to KUSF FM in San Francisco, where it was played over the air. This website has an extensive collection of hard rock and heavy metal tickets. From Metallica tour dates to Trans-Siberian Orchestra tickets, this is a good source for cheap concert tickets and updates on Metallica - Trans-Siberian concert collaborations.
    19.03.83
Live at The Stone in San Francisco. This was the second gig with Cliff, and this show was videotaped. Parts of this show are on the "Cliff 'Em All" video issued by Metallica.
    April 83
Lars, James and Dave all re-located to San Francisco, where Cliff lived; he now became a full member of Metallica.
    01.04.83
Metallica called Kirk Hammett and asked him if he would like to join Metallica in New York for an audition. Kirk thought someone played an April Fool's trick on him, and answered "Yes, sure". The next day they called again to supply further details, and he realized that they were serious.
    09.04.83
Live at L'Amours in Brooklyn, New York. The last gig with Dave Mustaine.
    16.04.83
Having done his audition for Metallica, Kirk was accepted into the band; on this day he did his first gig with them in New Jersey. Exodus, Kirks previous band, went on to release some good thrash albums in the 80's and early 90's.
    May 1983
They went into the studio to record their first album, Kill 'Em All , produced by Paul Curcio. Originally, this album was to be called "Metal Up Your Ass", but the record distributors refused to release an album with such a name. The name was immediately changed to Kill 'Em All , in reference to the record industry's distributors.
    xx.07.83.
    Kill 'Em All was released.
    27.06.83
Metallica went on the road for a two month tour with Raven for the "Kill 'Em All For One" tour (the Raven album at the time was entitled All for One ). The tour ended on September 3, 1983.
    October-December 83.
Metallica spent their time writing new material for the next album, Ride The Lightning .
    February 84
The quartet visited Europe for the first time. They went on a tour supporting VENOM, starting in Zurich, Switzerland and covering Germany, France and Belgium, then finishing with the Aardshock Festival in Zwolle, Holland. During this tour, the British label, Music for Nations, released the 'Jump in the Fire' EP to promote the tour.
    27.06.84
Ride The Lightning is released by Megaforce records.
    November 84
The "Creeping Death" EP is released, featuring the original garage days on the B-side. Included is one cover tune, originally recorded by Blitzkrieg, and one track by Diamond Head. These tracks are now available on the re-release of Kill 'Em All , and garage Inc. Garage Days Re-Revisited is the follow up to this recording.
    17.08.85
Performed for the first time at the famous Monsters of Rock festival at Donnington, England. Metallica was squeezed in-between two poser bands, Ratt and Bon Jovi, on the bill. James decided to tell the 70,000 kids what to expect: "If you came here to see spandex, eye makeup, and the words 'Oh baby' in every fuckin' song, this ain't the fuckin' band."
    xx.09.85 - 27.12.85.
The band was in Copenhagen again, recording the third album, this time with producer Flemming Rasmussen.
    xx.03.86
    Master Of Puppets was released.
    27.03.86
The tour with Ozzy Osbourne starts. This was a very important tour for Metallica, supporting Ozzy, as their popularity was steadily rising and they were ready to hit the bigtime. This was also their last tour as a supporting act.
    26.07.86
Shortly before a gig in Evansville, Indiana, James broke his wrist in the infamous "skateboarding incident." The show was cancelled, and during the rest of the tour James sang with his arm in a sling while John Marshall stood in on guitar. At that time, John Marshall was Kirks guitar roadie, as well as a member of the band Metal Church.
    27.09.86
It was approaching dawn on Saturday, the 27th of September, 1986. Metallica's two tour buses were making their way along a god-forsaken road that lies somewhere between the Scandinavian cities of Stockholm and Copenhagen. Apart from these vehicles, the route was deserted - there was no one else travelling at that unearthly hour of the morning. Suddenly, for no apparent reason, just before 6:15 a.m., one of the coaches swerved violently to its right and started careening wildly down the wrong side of the road. It was out of control, and a crash was inevitable.
The bus' brief, but horrific, excursion came to a halt some 60 feet further up the tarmac. By this time, the vehicle was on its side and lying in a ditch by the side of the road, near the small Swedish town of Ljungby. During the unavoidable confusion that followed, the vast majority of the overturned bus' passengers managed to scramble free of the wreckage. Those that emerged included three of the four members of the band. In all honesty, the survivors had been extremely lucky, as they had all somehow managed to escape with little more than minor injuries and shock. Swedish police arriving on the scene of the crash immediately arrested the driver as a matter of routine, but later released him without charges after further investigation revealed that the cause of the crash was black ice on a nasty bend in the road. Unfortunately, however, there had been one fatality in the accident...... what is more, the deceased individual turned out to be one of the group. So, tragically, in the short space of those few dreadful seconds on that lonely Swedish road, Metallica's dreamlike existence was suddenly transformed into a hellish nightmare. Their 24 year old bass player, Cliff Burton, was dead.
"I saw the bus lying right on him. I saw his legs sticking out. I freaked. The bus driver, I recall, was trying to yank the blanket out from under him to use for other people. I just went, 'Don't fucking do that!' I already wanted to kill the guy. I don't know if he was drunk or if he hit some ice. All I knew was, he was driving and Cliff wasn't alive anymore." James Hetfield -1993

    29.09.86

The dazed group dealt with their anxiety in the manner with which they were most familiar: drinking. James broke two hotel windows and screamed, venting his rage. Kirk and his guitar tech, John Marshall, were so shaken that they left the light on in their room that night. On this day James, Lars and Kirk returned to the United States.

    28.10.86

Jason Newstead goes to an audition, in the hopes to become the new bass player. He learned all the songs in a couple of days, so when the three of them asked Jason what song he would like to play, he said "anyone you like." At the end of the audition, Metallica had five candidates, but invited Jason to have a drink with them at Tommy's Joint. Before leaving the place, the three members went to the loo, and when they came back, they told Jason, "Welcome to Metallica."

    Western Rock Music

Western rock music is a popular music form. It features vocals often with vocal harmony and accompanied with instruments- electric guitars, a bass guitar, keyboard instruments- electric piano, organ and synthesizer and drum sets. Other musical instruments like saxophone, trumpet and trombone are also included. Earlier horns were also used which are not being used since the 90s. The central piece of instrument in western rock music is of course the electric guitar. The microphone used by the singers itself functions as a musical instrument. Many singers depend upon the amplification and various effects like echo obtained by electronically transforming the sound obtained through the microphone.
The characteristic musical style categorized as rock music and music of its related styles has dominated the musical scene of the west since about 1955. Western rock music has its origins in the Unites States. However, it has been influenced and shaped by a broad field of cultures and musical traditions over the years. There has been the influence of gospel music, the blues, western country music, western classical music, folk music etc. Some elements of popular music of Asia, Africa and Latin America have also been incorporated in western rock music.
Western rock music styles have evolved into its complete form around 1959 with predominant influence of the white musicians. A major western rock music style is rock and roll or rock ‘n’ roll. Rhythm-and-blues music is a popular western rock music style influenced primarily by black American musicians. Now, these major genres of western rock music encompass several sub styles like heavy metal, punk, alternative and grunge. The harmonies and other complex technical aspects of the western music are shared by the western rock music too- the chords known as tonic, subdominant and dominant are to be especially mentioned in this regard.
Western rock music has taken the world by storm and it is now a popular musical form all over the world with a huge fan following.

    Learn to Sing Rock Music

Have you ever wondered if you can learn to sing rock music? Have you ever dream of spandex and adoring fans? Are you a trained singer? And do you need some vocal lesson to go with your guitar? Whatever your issue may be, yes, you can learn to sing any rock music of your choice.
It is not a very uncommon question. With the volume of garbage that is on the radio these days, many people find themselves wondering if in the future they can be a singer. In fact, it is a very popular question that the entire music industry is begging to answer that question for you.
There are a lot of options available for you. One option is, you can go out buy music books, compact discs, and digital video discs. There is also a plethora of instructional materials that will help you guide finding and perfecting your voice. You can also hire a professional voice coach. You can check bulletin boards like the Guitar Center for private music tutors. Find records that you really admire, turn the music up and sing along.
Choose from a singing course or a good voice coach
Whatever method you choose, you can learn to sing rock music. The beautiful thing about rock music is that it has more to do with attitude than anything else. If you think of the famous rock singers, a beautiful voice probably does not come to mind. You think of their attitude, or what we call the charisma. The problem is that, it is hard to build this attitude and confidence if in the first place you are unsure of your voice. You have to be confident about your voice and with yourself.
If you are going to learn to sing rock music, emotion is very important, you have to feel the lyrics of the song, what the song is all about and what the composer is trying to tell about it. One of the most important things in singing rock music is the attitude and the emotion.
Buying some instructional materials or hiring professional vocal teacher can help you learn the basics of singing, and at the same time it helps build your confidence. Singing in front of many people requires a lot of confidence. You also need a lot patience and hard work in learning rock music. Constant practice is the key to learning fast. Every time you get a chance, practice and master the notes and pitch of the songs that you like. Perform with your friends so that you will have them to tell you about your mistakes and flaws. Successful rock singers are working hard to practice and master the songs that they will perform. Actually in rock music, you do not need to have a really nice voice, by constant practice and mastery of your craft you will succeed just like any other rock singers. You just have to remember the basics, practice, concentrate and you got to have the right attitude.

    Miss you my friend

How Can You Be A Good Friend

Have you ever wondered how good can you be as a friend? What does it really takes you to be a good friend? There is no better way to spread the fragrance of friendship than to be a real good friend for the world. The secret involves certain very simple arts to be mastered.
“To Be Trusted Is a Great Compliment Than Being Loved” -- George MacDonald
Yes! It is very important to trust your friends and be trusted. You cannot be a good friend if you do not learn how to trust him or her. Words of love would be meaningless and hollow without trust. Friendship is a deep bondage and more you trust your friend, the more you will be able to reach closer to his or her heart.
On the other level you should also be trusted. So never do things that can break your friends' trust on you. “Trust is like a vase ... once broken, though you can fix it the vase will never be same again.“
“Touch seems To Be As Essential As Sunlight” -- Diane Ackerman
No doubt about it. Touch is really the most potent tool that gives strength to the relationship. Touching the shoulder of your friend is really like the first morning beam touching the grass after a long cold night -- especially during your friend's bad time.
Giving your friend a hearty hug in greeting is another way to come closer and let him or her reach close to your heart.
“Thoughts Are The Shadows Of Our Feelings..” -- Friedrich Nietzsche
We can share our thoughts by sharing our feelings. It is by sharing your feelings that you can open up yourself to your friends and let them know about you. If you cannot share your feelings with your friends you cannot grow a golden relationship and can never be a good friend. So share your feelings and let your friend share their feelings with you without judgment.
“Learn The Wisdom Of Compromise, For It Is Better To Bend a Little Than To Break” -- Jane Wells
To be a good friend you are required to learn to compromise. Every individual has different way of thinking. Unless you can compromise you cannot be a good friend. Compromise and let your friends know that it is better to bend a little than to break.
“A Friend Is The One Who Comes In When The Whole World Has Gone Out” -- Grace Pulpit
Another key for being a good friend is to be supportive of the person. You should be with him or her when he or she has lost all and everything. Support can be emotional. Just lend your shoulder to your friend when he or she is discouraged. Extend your hand to lift them up from any types of crunch.
To be a best friend all that you need is to be like a worst tenant. Enter into their hearts, stay in there and don't vacate.

    Meant To Be

I feel your soul beside me
I feel you near so dearly
    I feel you each day
    I feel you in everyway
When I wake up, I see you
I turn around and there you are
    I can see you everywhere
    Even if you’re not there
    I hear your voice
In all the songs I listen to
    In every cling I hear
    Your voice is very clear
    This all seems so strange
    It all is unlikely
But I’m left with an explanation
And it’s that maybe, were meant to be?

    I Am Confused

My feelings for you, I cannot explain
Do I love you as a friend or as something else
    My heart beats for you
But it also beats for someone else
I cannot define my feelings for you
I cannot tell if they are true
I do not know if they are right
Or if I should find another light
Should I love you or should I not?
Do I like you or do I not?
Were we born for each other?
Or were we born for some other?

    I Won’t Loose Hope

    I long for you
    In the night,
    During the day
    In almost everyway
    I love you
    I can’t deny
    I care for you
    But I’m too shy
    Should I tell you
    That I love you
    But I’m a girl
    And that wouldn’t be right
    But you’re too slow
    And I don’t even know
    If you love me
    If you even care
But still, I won’t loose hope
    I’ll still keep praying
That one day you’ll be saying
    That you love me too

    My Mistake

If there’s a part of time I could change
It would be the part when you came in
It wasn’t a mistake that I met you
It wasn’t a mistake that I loved you
    My only mistake was…
That I neglected to love you
From the first time we’ve met

    You’re My Everything

You make me feel so happy
You make me feel so gay
    When you speak with me
    I always feel this way
    When I’m around you

    I’m always filled with glee
I just don’t know what to do
    You’re everything to me
With you I feel so strange

    You always make my day
    I wish you never change
That you’ll always be this way

    MY friend

Our frienship makes me feel so special
It makes me feel so superior
    Because whenever i fall
You’re always there to catch me
    Yuo’ve never left me alone
    You’ve never let me fall
You’re always there to guide me
And I know how much you care for me
If ever we may be apart
I will never forget about you
You’ll always be in my mind
You’ll always be in my heart
Because you’ve made me a different person
You’re the reason of why I’m still holding on
You’ve made me feel so loved
You’ve made me feel so strong

Cheap Life Insurance - A Friend in Need is a Friend Indeed

If we control our finances and expenses in a proper way then earning, spending and then saving looks like fun rather than a tension. Although everybody may not be able do plan a proper financial budget, but we can try it. We should consider and make a list of all the expenses which are essential for us for every month. If we make a list keeping in mind about the educational expenses of our children, the electricity bill, the newspaper bill and the list never ends, then finally we will still have quite sufficient amount which we can save and further invest it in any good life insurance policy so that along with our present expenses our future also gets secured in a suitable way. Monetary improvement will additionally lead us towards perfection. When I think about the safety of my family then I get only one thing in my mind and that is investing in any of the good life insurance policy because I am aware that the returns and advantages which we get from them is excellent. Assurances such as trustworthiness and stability are the main objectives of the life insurance companies. And they exceptionally carry out their responsibilities and lend a helping hand to us in all the situations. Sometimes due to some reasons we do not think about the future. But we have to dispel the irritations and the delays of the past for few days and set sight on a new working trend during which our work will seem to fall on the right track. Focus and determination should be given a priority and we should start with our plans as soon as possible.
I have invested in the Term life insurance policy because this policy was giving me the benefit and a complete financial cover for a period of 10 to 30 years. This was going according to my necessities as my only daughter was still in the school and then I could help her to complete her studies without any financial disturbance. I wanted to give my only child all the comforts in life as she had even lost her mother a few years ago and she was attached to me very much. I was afraid that after my death my child’s education should not get disturbed in any circumstances and so I decided to invest in the Term life insurance policy which assured me coverage of many years. Hard works will surely commensurate rewards and then we will get major opportunities for gains of all kinds. We must give a truly mind-boggling display of what we are capable of and see how happy and confident our family feels. Life insurance policies are like true friends who take care of all our financial problems and solve them in a systematic way. If we maintain an optimistic mind-set in our intellect while investing in any of the life insurance policy then we will not only progress mentally but we will also progress economically. Investing and budding hand in hand.
